neteng was a chant by the village shaman to invoke the spirits or the 'keniu' to appear at a ritual - Dato Balang Ngalibun

- to invoke a blessing of good luck, good behaviour, good health and long-life on a child
neteng (3) - invitation
- I invite them to come to a wedding
