Talk:Munu
John A Humble: Good one and point taken Dato. If iit may pleases Dato, i wish to share my perceptions on Da'at Sarawe vs. Da'at Muno, that can be determined by its differential value between the two actions. That being da'at sarawe is a common thing BUT da'at muno means lack of moral and spiritual emphasis in that person's life that needed be dealt with by certain kind or catagories of persons.
Medan Abdullah Spot on John. And we tend to use the sarawe with kids and muno with adults? Muno is therefore a more serious infraction or defect...
Medan Abdullah Like a habitual thief or liar, we call "daat muno" not "daat serawe", kan kineh tabe'? Ricky Riji Ribuh kapah kemuh?
Ricky Riji Ribuh Daat muno, munu something to do with moral, uncivilise la..
Ricky Riji Ribuh Example nuk belaan da'at munu di - someone just drive your car instead of driving his own car la. Naam ngitun burur iko. Or someone amey manad kiran mudi ngalap pudo bua kiran. Mula tabeh pudo dia kiran dih.
Medan Abdullah Masnah Thomas put it this way - 'daat serawe' is naughty. 'Daat muno' is being unethical, morally reprehensible/wrong, even criminal, etc. That's what we have been discussing above...
Ricky Riji Ribuh Lun merar nuk kupey/ Lazy pun belaan ko daat munu'
Lolly Raja Da'at munu sounds like disgraceful behavior?
Lolly Raja The word munu. What does that mean? Does it mean a person's character?
Lynette Smith I think 'da'at patur and da'at munu' have similar connotation...the 'culprit' knows certain behaviour or action is wrong, but does it anyway. S. Lolly, I think 'munu/muno' is behaviour/character...
Medan Abdullah And there's the word "masab" like in 'adtho masad' or like in: He is "laih masab" kadi' nah iah nah ngalap abi rigit kayu paad ngan lun nuk daat muno.
