Authority and power.
HBKENG en exaousia kai dunamei 'with authority and power'. Authority refers to what cannot be contradicted and Power refers to what cannot be resisted.
These 2 words are major term too.
I see Luke's translator did authority=lalud and power=kail.
We also have kail=strong. [Esther Bala 30-6-18 20:40 CET]

How about use lalud for power? I am not sure the word for authority. But the older generation always say kuasa lalud tuhan. "Merey kuasa mey lalud mudi ngen kamih."
Kapeh word bisa'? [Esther Bala 1-7-18 03:17 CET]

So far...lalud is used for authority in our translated text... [Son Radu 1-7-18 13:22 CET]

Hmmm ... I thought lalud has elements of miraculous? Kuasa can hv 2 dimensions, one without miraculous (a synonym with lalud) and another - bestowed/delegated/given authority with no miraculous elements. [Doris Lian 1-7-18 14:41 CET]

What shall we use to differentiate Power & Authority? [Dora Bulan 7-7-18 06:03 CET]
- Kuasa
- Lalud
- Bisa'

Kuasa. [Roland Terawe 7-7-18 06:05 CET]
Lalud sounds supernatural. [Roland Terawe 7-7-18 06:06 CET]
Bisa' sounds flattering [Roland Terawe 7-7-18 06:07 CET]
Should be Kuasa.
Lun ngimet kuasa.
Lun inan kuasa. [Roland Terawe 7-7-18 06:08 CET]

My take on LUK 20:20 is to use "imet dih kuasa". Lalud is more towards miraculous which the governor being a man does not possess. [Mutang Maran 7-7-18 10:17 CET]
